Laundry Love
Laundry Love is a service for individuals and / or families living in poverty. Laundry detergent and quarters are provided so people can wash their clothing and bedding. This is a joint ministry with several other Lebanon churches.
Habitat for Humanity
Our Saviour’s has been involved with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity from its start. Habitat for Humanity helps provide affordable housing and stability for homeowners. Our congregation’s volunteers assist homeowners with various projects such as building fences, yard work, painting etc.
God’s Work. Our Hands Service Sunday
The first Sunday in September is a day of community service. The people of Our Saviour’s serve Lebanon through a variety of projects. Past service has included work at a Habitat for Humanity house, the Homeless Education Program’s Clothes Closet, building Little Free Libraries, assembly and distribution of sack lunches and care kits to people who are homeless, visits to nursing home residents, making baby quilts for the hospital and more.
Lebanon Schools Backpack Program
Members contribute food and financial donations to help support this ministry held at the
River Center in Lebanon.
Lutheran World Relief Projects
School kits, Baby Care kits, and Personal Care kits are assembled twice a year. These kits are distributed to people around the world. They help people living in poverty or effected by natural disaster. Items are collected year round. A list of needed items can be found at LWR.org.
Little Free Library
Our Saviour’s has two Little Free Libraries. One is located in the Community Garden. The other is located at the entrance to the parking lot. These mini-libraries are stocked with a variety of books. Anyone may stop by and pick up a book and bring back another book too share.
Mission Quilters
Quilters meet at 9:00 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. They assemble, tie and finish quilts for Lutheran World Relief. These quilts are shipped around the U.S. and the world. They provide warmth and shelter to people such as refugees and those affected by war, famine and natural disaster.
Willamette Valley Rehabilitation Center Dinner and Dance
Our Saviour’s hosts an annual social event for people with disabilities. The evening event includes dinner and a dance. Many of the participants live in local group homes.
